B2005: Something To Do With Cancer

Have You Checked Yourself Out?As all of you know, the reason why I’m doing this blogathon is to raise money for the National Cancer Society of Malaysia. So far, it’s been a really hectic time trying to get enough publicity to go around and for days now I’ve been having sleepless nights trying to get a lot of things in order and not just to practice for the event itself.

Of course, the blogathon wouldn’t really complete if I didn’t blog about something related to my charity. I really couldn’t take a picture of anything cancer related around the house because…seriously…cancer can be like a snake that you won’t notice until it’s too late. That’s how dangerous it is.

Then I remembered this.

I cannot believe that public message has been hanging around my shower head for God know how long and I completely forgot that it was there in the first place. I mean…I must have stared and read it a half a dozen times as I showered in the first place.

Stupid me. Stupid me.

But still…here we have fine example of how early detection can sometimes save your life. There is no fault in being proactive over something that can be fatal to you. But then for some people, they might already need your help in treating this genetic plague that can ravage any one of us at any time.

That’s what this blogathon is for.

To help those affected by it.

Help make a difference in their life.

Help change a person’s future for the better.

Everyone deserves a chance at living.

  1. We’ve all had our stories. We’ve all heard eveyone else’s stories. It’s about time we let our bodies tell us it’s story…

  2. My dad died of cancer when I was 12. I’ve lived almost half my life without him.

That’s why I’m blogging for AICR
