B2007: Coffee Now Bad

I’ve been asked by a lot of people of late how my coffee stocks are lasting. I can frankly say that they are fine. In fact, they haven’t been touched at all. There is a good reason for this too. Caffeine and sugar while giving you the buzz to keep going, only last a while. After that you’ll suffer from a massive crash and burn or what Blogathoners often refer to as a critical “Screw this!! I can’t stand it anymore!! I’m going to sleep!!”

So how have I been keeping awake thus far? Drink water, plenty of water. Avoid any food that might contain sugar and if possible stick to complex carbohydrates. Since I don’t have anything fancy like muesli bars with me. I’ve been surviving on pizza, Pringles and French toast. Nothing too fancy but it does provide me with enough energy to keep me going.

Failing that, there is always a 10 minute powernap. Just make sure you set your alarm to wake you up after that. You wouldn’t want to miss the rest of the blogathon by sleeping off 10 hours instead.

  1. I haven’t taken coffee, like you adviced =) But I’m over the sleepy period. I know I’ll be OK now (the most difficult period was midnight time). Now I’ll just much on snacks and my yogurt drinks and I know I’ll be alright =)
