As I'm approaching my first thought block of the night, I'm compelled to admit that there are things in life we cannot fix nor can we change. What's left is the scar of our mistakes or the memory of our sins. Given that we can't change the past, what's left for us is what we do with our future.
What drives some of us to go to great lengths to succeed? What pushes us to finish the things that weren't even started by our own hands? While ambition without direction is a wild card in the wind. Ambition with a driven purpose to rewrite the past however is something nobody can stop. Not you, not me, not even God.
As fate is the cards that are dealt to us. So is destiny the way we play the game. Determined by us and us alone in a room filled with everyone else who haven't the foggiest clue what they are doing.
This year Footsteps in the Mirror will be blogging to raise money for the Association for International Cancer Research which is a non-profit organisation that helps fund cancer research throughout the world. If you're willing to help, you can sign up on the Blogathon website and pledge your amount right here. Help make a difference, no matter how small it may be.

We need motivation and determination to do all that, though. To let go of the past…to be strong in dealing the problems in the present and to move on forward to the future.

So basically what happens to you is less important that what you happen to what. Gotcha.
It occurs to me that you probably wouldn’t be a very fun drunk, probably one of those who’d start crying and wondering where all the years went. Just saying. Of course, I got my share of drunk people last night, so my view may be a bit skewed.

Gnorb: If I get drunk at all. I’m an expensive drunk. I can get extremely tipsy in which I’m quiet and just listen to other people or just burn it off eventually.
No crazy stuff here from me drinking that’s for sure.
