Another year, another crazy 24 hours is yet to come. For those of you who aren’t in the know, the Blogathon is an international charity event where bloggers from all over the world blog for 24 hours straight in order to raise funds for the charity of their choice. It sounds simple from there on end, until most people realize that you have to post every 30 minutes for those 24 hours to stay in the game.
As a veteran participant of the Blogathon for the past 3 years, it’s no surprise that I will be participating yet again in this year’s Blogathon ’07 which will be held on the 28th of July starting at 0600 Eastern Standard Time. This year however, in addition counting down to the event by promoting my charity which will be for the Association for International Cancer Research, I will also be writing about the Blogathon event in much more detail especially in regards to it’s history, it’s workings or how people like us are crazy enough to stay awake for something we believe in.
It would be unfair for this event to pass the world by without people knowing just how dedicated these rag-tag band of bloggers are to the causes they pledged themselves for. So in the days to come counting down to the 28th of July, I’ll be giving the world a chance to see just that. A view into a world populated by the proud, the few and the bordering clinically insane bloggers and the event 24 hours into the making.
The countdown to Blogathon ’07 has begun. It’s about time to do what we do best and make a difference from every minute of it.
