Sponsor Blogathon Today

That’s right. It’s out and it’s new. Blogathon 2006 has opened it’s doors for participants to join and for sponsors to pledge. This year it’s all about the same cause as I did last year but with a whole new orginization. This year, I’m supporting the strike against the very heart of cancer. My pledge is all about the Association for International Cancer Research which helps fund cancer research throughout the world in the hopes that we can find ways of stopping the various forms of cancer in its tracks.

I don’t have to tell you that it’s generally a good thing for everyone to stop cancer, especially for the young and innocent. I do hope that somewhere in that noggin of yours is a conscience that knows what the right thing is. Even if it is a paltry sum, every bit helps to give scientist the opportunity to continue their research…and I can tell you from experience, research is not exactly the cheapest thing in the world to maintain, more so something on so large and epic a scale as cancer.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up for to pledge for Footsteps in the Mirror’s Blogathon run today. Held on the 29th of July at 0600 Pacific Standard Time, it’ll run for 24 hours with a post every 30 minutes and as every blogathoner can tell you, that really is an endurance run. Remember, at the end of it, while we may be staying up late to make a difference, it is in you that will ultimately make a choice to change the world. It’s not that hard a choice to make.

  1. wow a year has passed eh? I’d be watching out your space but not as a participant this time heh ehh.. Will be pledging if my pocket allows me too.. prolly a small sum =)

  2. Actually it’s been less than a year. The last Blogathon was held later than usual. Any sum is good though. 🙂 It’ll be nice to see more people bothering about it. 🙂

  3. On behalf of all of us here at the Association for International Cancer Research, may I say how grateful we are that you have chosen to take part in Blogathon 2006 to raise money for our research projects. Like the Blogathon, AICR is a truly global organisation both raising money and funding projects worldwide.

    Best wishes,

    for AICR

  4. While I wish you success with the blogathon, I must say that it is so annoying to try to comment on your blog. I’ll comment about this further via email or on another post. I’m grateful that you are taking part in support of Cancer research.
