That Time To Make A Difference Again

It's that time of the year again to do what we do best to make a difference because…Blogathon 2006 is coming up soon. When I mean soon, I mean in another 3 months or so, which given my experience of what I had to go through at last year's Blogathon, I think I should have started a little earlier.

Nevertheless, it gives me enough room to patch up a few things and deal with those nagging technical details that were left untied. Though come to think of it, the most problematic parts of the blogathon was the fact I was struggling to come out with things to write during the last 6 hours of it…not to mention getting people interested in charitable act.

Not exactly an easy thing nor is it a pleasant thing especially when you had to deal with a lot of those things on your own. But when you think about it, you're blogging for a noble cause, even if it is one mind numbing post at a time. Sometimes the end result is more than worth the painstaking road you took to get there. Kinda like the same philosophy that applies in the rest of our lives. So what does that leave me now? Why a list of course.

Edrei's Blogathon 2006 Countdown List:

  1. Decide which organization or charity to pledge to.
  2. Contact organization or charity of choice to tell them you're insane.
  3. Start (long) publicity campaign.
  4. Contact webhost to deal with the constant server timeouts.
  5. Streamline code and other cosmetic tweaks on my blog.

It definitely doesn't seem like much for now, but for those of you who actually did work on Blogathons of old, you know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to the long publicity campaign. Somehow though, I think this year is going to be different. This year, it's going to be something special. This year, I'm actually going take it easy and have myself a whole lot of fun.

That’s cause it takes time to load the cocomments. With the server timeout this bad or with a poor connection. That happens from time to time.
