For Memento’s Sake

Erin came up with an interesting topic in one of the 9rules notes. If you're a big fan of movies, there is no way you could have missed Christopher Nolan's 2000's masterpiece, Memento. If you did miss it, then I suggest you pick a day and go rent the movie because as far as mystery movies go, this one takes thriller and suspense to a whole new level. The movie is unique because it's played in reverse order with the end as the beginning and the beginning as the end.

To summarise it, the main character Leonard suffers from a constant short term memory loss due to an accident involving his wife's murder. He cannot remember anything more than a few minutes at a time. To remember, he takes polaroid pictures of everything and writes on them messages to himself. Snapshots and the messages he writes tells him what he should do next.

Erin's question was simple. If you were a character on Memento, what would short termed memory Leonard write on your snapshot? I thought I might as well give it a go.

Leonard's Subtitle

Now I don't think anyone else would bother actually creating a polaroid picture like this to answer a question from a movie a lot of people might have not seen. So I wouldn't ask anyone else to do the same. But I would ask, what would a person suffering from short term memory write on your polaroid snapshot? How do you think he would describe you best in a sentence?

Want to have a go at it?

She knows much, but has a tendency to ramble on. Stop her when she does.

On random note Memento is one of the few movies that I can watch over and over again.

This guy doesn’t have a clue, does he? But if I’m ever in Belgium he’ll know where to get a decent drink at least.

    Something like that?

Pat: Haha. ironically Mel doesn’t like it. I’m trying to find the limited edition DVD for it though. You can have the option to play it in forward order, but it’s actually protected. Cool stuff.

Nils: Hahaha. Good one and yes. Exactly like that. :)

    KY: That it does. :)

Memento does rock and I’m glad you liked my note, Kami!

I’ll go with a slightly different caption here, and say Isn’t as sweet as she first appears, but you can trust her.

Couldn’t resist mentioning it after all Erin. “Sweet as chocolate, bitter as chocolate. Delicious all the same.” Now there is a thought in your direction. :)
