The Empty Chapter

There are times in your life where your mind draws a blank. Times where you keep trying to churn something out, waiting for something profound to pop out but nothing really happens.

However, like every book, sometimes chapters of our lives are peppered with the uneventful moments where the choices we unconsciously make ultimately lead to those page turning cliffhangers we can't seem to get away from. The kind that builds up behind the scenes until the final climatic episodes.

If only days like this come along more often, life would seem a little less dramatic. Then again that would make for a boring story to be told and I for one like a good story. So despite the series of events that otherwise weigh down on my life so far, days like these present themselves as a breather. If only to appreciate the singular calm moments before the coming storm, this chapter at least is only but on that leads to another.

Otherwise I could have skipped all that creative prose and tell you nothing out of the ordinary happened. But that wouldn't be really fun to read now wouldn't it?

Esther: Not until I woke up and read your comment. Now that’s what you call calm before the storm. :)
    Lifecruiser: Thanks a biggie. :)
