Things You Don’t Expect To Hear At Work

Working in a pathology lab is like working anywhere else on Earth, except half the time the people you deal with happen to be in test tubes and small jars. The other half of the time, it'll be people working alongside you and people gawking at the test tubes and small jars, like recently when a whole brain came in from a full autopsy in a bucket and one of the technical assistants had this to say:

"My God!! Is he still alive?!"

Sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

On days like this however, I'd just do both.
