The Contradicting Peace…

I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity. - General Dwight D. Eisenhower

I am a child born out of conflict, that is no secret. There is nothing but the fury of the fight that runs through these veins and without it I don't think I would have survived my own life at all.

Then again I have to realise one thing…in this world…there are not just people made to be where I am and born to be who I am. There are also people born and made to be otherwise. The other side people like us are meant to be fighting for. Because as in all wars…you push foward not because you need to.

You push foward because you believe in the people you fight for and with.

So when the other side we protect places a call for peace in this world, there are two kinds of people who would advocate the right to peace.

1. Those that know the futility and horror of war.
2. Those that are scared of facing that war.

I can understand the people who dedicate their lives to peace because they have fought in wars. No one knows what peace truly is until they have fought a war. I would know…I'm still fighting that war and there isn't a day that goes by that I pray I make it through to the next morning alive.

But it is the people who advocate peace simply because they are too scared or lazy to fight in the first place that I have little respect off. People who have nothing better to do than to talk about something they know little off. It's like saying people should cure cancer because they heard that it's bad for health.

Peace is not something you get through talk about it or because you see other people suffer through it. Peace is something people fight for. Peace is something people die for. The road to peace isn't paved with the inexperience of war. The road to peace is paved by bleeding for it. Because what is peace when all you are breeding is people who will die when the shit hits the fan.

We may turn a blind eye to conflict…but we can't certainly run away from it. As long as we live as part of this existance, we will always be surrounded by the reality that conflict is part of our nature. You can try and run from it…but sooner or later it's going to burn you whether you want to believe in peace or not.

I fight because I believe in what I'm fighting for. I fight because I know what it's like to lose things that mean a lot to you. I fight because I want that peace when the war is over.

I fight to protect that which I love.

And I will always keep fighting till this will is ripped from this body.

And not even God can stop that fury.

We all fight a different war within ourselves. I fight for the peace of my heart and soul. You fight is indeed out of this world.
